It was almost 8 o’clock in the evening.
As usual I sat down on my desk, with computer and light on and door closed. I took a drink of water, held a deep breath and got into the VOB online classroom in the last two minutes. Ms Deng (She is our tutor of English for studying this term, we all like her very much.) was already there, and so were many of my classmates as always. Two hours later, the class was over, and slowly I got up from my desk, rubbing my neck. Suddenly every noise died off, until then I found it was already deep night.
This was one of my many Beiwaionline nights. I have been studying here for more than a year. Since the first day I entered, my family’s evening hours have been adjusted to Beiwaionline times. And more frequently these days. This semester a new series of speaking programe started. Almost each day during supper time my daughter would be asking one question: “Mum, are you going to have an English class tonight?” And if I answered yes there would be a glimpse of disappointment on her face. Most of the time, she would have played with her father before nine o’clock, then got every excuses back home and sticked to me, painting, listening with me or even making troubles occasionally .
How time flies! Beiwaionline has changed me a lot. So to speak, it is just like a soul home on my road, that I could say. If I came here—learning in Beiwai online by chance, that I am glad to be here now. Even I have not yet left I can’t help missing her so much.
Teachers here are more than responsible, caring and adorable. Almost every teacher you came cross left you a deep impression. Until now, I still benefit a lot from Ms Fengxue’s words (She was my first English teacher at Beiwai online) —“Do not pay attention to those big words but gather more small words as possible as you could,” something like that she had said inadvertently in VOB online classes. Myonly regret is that two-hour class period is too short.
For those not studying at Beijing headquarters, we treasure every VOB class.
Beiwaionline Forum is another place we have valued a lot. Here we write down our feelings, share news and make friends. This term we have uploaded plenty of our writing assignments for peer-assessments due to Ms Deng’s encouragement and that made us a huge progress. Furthermore, Some of my classmates were surprised to find that English learning here had become an interesting thing.
People are always saying that life is just like a journey., You do not need to care about your destination but the scenery along the way and the mood you go through with it. Actually, we all matter our ends a little bit, but still require a spiritual home on the road, which could make you calm down, keep working hard and happy. And I am very grateful to have Beiwaionline by my side. With it, I just believe ”though hope is frail, it’s hard to kill.“ Whereas without it, life seems simply like duckweeds floating in vain and aimlessly.
