Academic Learning in the ILO Turin Training Center--Day 3
On August 10th, three wonderful academic lectures were presented by distinguished professors for youth talent in the summer school in the ILO Turin Training Center(ITCILO). At 9 o'clock sharp in the morning, the entire auditorium in the Piemonte Building was packed with students, dynamic and energetic.
First and foremost, Professor Liangzu LIU introduced two guest professors from America. Besides, Professor LIU put forward some suggestions on us: “May you, the youth, listen to our distinguished guests attentively. May you, the youth, raise the awareness of global leadership and academic literacy. May you, the youth, are capable of making contributions to the global development from an international perspective.”
Professor Nadia
Next, Professor Nadia gave us a lecture on Law, Corporate Governance and Business Ethics, illustrating the history of law, the background of law and the relationship between economy and economic development. What is more, Professor Nadia also touched on issues of corporate development, corporate governance and corporate responsibility, thus making us well aware of the relationship among law, economy and management.
Professor Nicholas Capaldi
After the 30-minute coffee break, another distinguished guest professor, named Nicholas Capaldi, went on the topic upon Law, Corporate Governance and Business Ethics on the second session of the lecture, elaborating his own viewpoint by presenting vivid examples and supporting details. What Professor Nicholas Capaldi stressed most was that we were supposed to have self-discipline, self enhancement and obey the regulations in the constantly changing world in a gesture to make our world a better place to live in.
Mr.Mohui Jiang
In the afternoon, every member was assigned to 3 different rooms to have different classes. Some had the lessons given by Nadia E. Nedzel, Workshop: Law Corporate Governance and Business Ethics. In the 2nd classroom was the lesson taught by Changyou Zhu and it focused on Labour Standards and Global Supply Chains, ILO Occupational Health and Safety. In the last classroom came the most impressive topic, that is, ILO at 100: Shaping a Future World of Work We Want, which was taught by Mohui Jiang. Mohui Jiang, Deputy Director-General and Senior Adviser of International Labour Organization(ILO) in the Headquarter in Geneva. Mr. Jiang looked back on the history of ILO, analyzed some existing problems of ILO and probed into decent work in the near future. Last but not least, Mr. Jiang called on all members present to make continuous efforts to stand on the world stage and tell the story of China courageously and confidently.

In concluding remarks, Professor Liangzu LIU expressed his appreciation to Mr.Jiang and spoke highly of all the participants present. Only when the youth today put what they learned in the lectures into practice and their daily life can the talent youth play a vital role in the international arena in the years to come.
The Magic Brush: An Introduction to Scripts
In the late afternoon, Professor Rui ZHENG, from Zhejiang University, gave a unique and distinctive lecture on the magic brush, that is, Shufa or Chinese calligraphy, in a humorous and friendly atmosphere. As Professor ZHENG put it : “With the aim of becoming an international youth talent in the coming years, all the participants present are supposed to have a a better understanding of cross-cultural communication. Not only shall we learn diverse cultures of other nations, but our own extensive and profound Chinese culture.”
