It was a day when colored leaves were falling down from the trees, I started my learning at BeiwaiOnline. I have a lot of expectations of this course. I think this is a nice change of pace for me as it is the first time since I have studied English after graduation. I am excited to know what it would be like in almost 3 years and how much my English would improve.

Time flies, as two months have passed since new term started. Luckily, I have a wonderful tutor who gives my classmates and me a lot of help in order to understand the new learning methods quickly. He divided us into 2 groups and individual learning partners. My classmates are nice and kind. We established a QQ group. At times, we discuss our homework and notify each other the time of the courses. It is interesting because we never met each other before, and sometimes we even don’t remember each other’s names, but we could talk friendly.

BeiwaiOnline holds amazing activities. I’ll never forget this one particular speech. I have never been so nervous since I passed my driving test. It took me 2 days to write the speech, and half day to recite. I remembered I was so nervous that I spoke too fast like a moving train and my hands were sweating all the time. I thought I gave a bad presentation and felt upset. Fortunately, I finally passed the trials. Since this event, my confidence in English improved.

The courses are not easy. Each unit has long dialogues and new words. They connect with our life tightly. I realize that something is especially useful but missed in our life, such as the word dough-stick, which I always have it as breakfast but I never know how to speak it accurately in English. While answering the questions in each activity and finishing test online, I feel free to describe a family, a routine, or a job etc. 

Studying at BeiwaiOnline is just like Alice standing in Wonderland. Everything is brand new. Compared with traditional course, self-control seems to be much more important. In order to finish all units and tests on time, I have to arrange my schedule in advance. To be honest, my life has changed. I usually turn on my computer once I get up. After washing my face and brushing my teeth, I could learn one activity during breakfast. To practice my listening, I try to find time during the day. Reading is good for to relax, so I browse several pages before falling asleep. I am so proud to say that I have finished my first English novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone. I started reading the next novel in the series. That’s something never happened before. I am on the way to be an English novel reader.

However, there are still many difficulties in the future. Firstly, vocabulary is a big mountain I want to overcome. I got a poor memory. It takes me 3 times the amount of time that an average person takes. Secondly, I am shy to actively communicate with others. However, being brave is another lesson that I need to learn, isn’t it?

I enjoy this journey of English learning very much. I think there is always a wide window in front of me. Blue sky and colored flowers are out of that window. It’s always there, but I ignored them before. BeiwaiOnline just opened that window for me and I am excited for this new journey. Quoting my favorite line from the Forrest Gump, life is like a box of chocolate, you will never know what you going to get. I wish I could seize this precious opportunity to alter my future. Learning is a good way to grow, and we should never stop it.
