网院学习心得

Informed by my tutor that I was again granted with the title as Top Student for my third year’s study at BWOL, and this honor would bring me a satisfactory full stop to my diploma course. I hope it also indicates a good beginning of the rest two years that I have to complete in BWOL.

Tracing back the first three years I spent in BWOL, I dare say that I did a good job. I came to BWOL with no glorious academic history but a solid foundation in my English, (this is why I chose BWOL). Three years passed, I made my own history here in BWOL in an academic sense. I was honored as “Top Student” for the first year, ended up my second year as “Excellent Student”, and for the third year I was again awarded “Top Student”. Though the honor is merely presented by a piece of paper, behind these awards, what have been written on it are my endless efforts and my fighting spirit, with bitterness and joyfulness through all my way.

Being a wife, I share less family duties than my husband does; being a mother, the time I spare to accompany my daughter is much less than her expectation; being a daughter, I’ve been doing less for my parents since my Long March started on BWOL. Thanks to all my family for their understanding on my choice. Without their continuous support, I can achieve nothing.

My family leaves me a lenient environment allowing me to indulge in my English world, nevertheless, my job always gives me a hard time. High pressure, over time working, I very often feel I’m being overloaded. As the old saying goes, no pains no gains. My performance over last year is highly recognized by my boss and my fellow workers. Since a role conversion from a full-time mother into a manger in charge of overseas market in early 2006, I’ve been offered a great chance to keep a high frequency of practicing my English in both a written and verbal form. From this point of view, it demonstrates the way of “learning by doing”.

Juggling with multi-role has never been an easy thing, but it has gradually evolved into my lifestyle in a way my life is being shaped.
